The former Manchester United and Arsenal forward has completed signing his one-year deal with his new team Brighton & Hove Albion. Welbeck terminated his contract with Watford by mutual consent earlier this month.
Welbeck started his career at Old Trafford at the age of eight where he played for the team’s academy and the youth team before making his senior debut in 2008. He made 92 appearances for Manchester United and scored 20 goals. He also played for both Arsenal and Watford.
In his international appearances he has scored 16 goals for his country England.
Welbeck will wear the number 18 jersey and is expected in the first eleven team against west Bromwich Albion at the Amex stadium.
