Clark Middleton, who was an actor, writer, producer and director died of West Nile Virus on Sunday in Los Angeles. Middleton appeared in Twin Peaks, Law & Order, Kill Bill Vol. 2 and the Blacklist.
Elissa, Clark’s wife confirmed the news, “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a life eminently worth of celebration: Clark Tinsley Middleton, 63 – beloved actor, writer, director, teacher, hero, husband, beacon, friend. Clark transitioned on October 4th as a result of West Nile Virus, for which there’s no cure. Clark was a beautiful soul who spent a lifetime defying limits and advocating for people with disabilities.” She wrote.
Born in 1957, Middleton began acting while in college and made his debut in the 1983 TV movie Miss Lonelyhearts.
Middleton contracted juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when he was four years old. In 1997, he wrote the one-person play, Miracle Mile about his lifelong struggle with the disease. He performed it in New York and other parts of the US. Middleton, who is popularly known for starring in The Blacklist as Glen Carter, is survived by his wife, his brother and mother.
